Emulator Extension Helper – v0.6.0 beta

A tool to simplify managing emulator associations directly from Windows Explorer

Hi everyone! 👋
I’ve been working on a utility called Emulator Extension Helper, and I’d love to share it with you.

This tool is designed for emulation enthusiasts who have large collections of ROMs and want a better way to open them with specific emulators — directly from the context menu in Windows Explorer.

⚙️ Key Features

• 🔧 Windows context menu integration (right-click support) Easily associate individual ROMs or entire file extensions with one or more emulators.
• 🎮 Emulator management Register multiple emulators and manage their file extensions.
• 🗂️ Per-ROM or global extension associations Associate a single ROM with specific emulators, or apply it to all files with the same extension.
• 🌐 Multilingual support Automatically detects your system language and loads the correct translation file (currently supports English and Brazilian Portuguese).
• 💾 Portable and open-source No installation required. Works from any folder.
• 📂When selecting RetroArch, a dynamic submenu appears, listing only the compatible cores (based on the selected ROM's extension). Core detection for RetroArch is automatic, reading installed cores and filtering them accordingly to ensure only valid options are shown.
